Or they could push the requirements for the current ranks.
Would only work for the people that just started. Think of it like this: You just reached, say, iron lord, and then they push the requirements. You are now back to wood knight. Would you find it very fair? Even a small push with one rank will be rather unfair.
If everyone was treated the same way, would it not be fair?
Well, the newbs would be just fine, because they never achieved a rank, and saw it be taken away from them again, along with two, three other ranks. Pushing the ranks would be feeling like a punch to the guts to many of the users, no matter what rank they are at.
Well it was only my opinion ~ What do you suggest they do?
I am not really sure. I do not care much about the ranks (other than the way the little hats are drawn. It amuse me), but I am pretty sure the staff will find something out by themselves, find a way to fix it, or already have something in mind already. There have been plenty of these threads to give them ideas, and there will probably be more in the future; if they ever find it to be a problem, they will discuss it, and if they have no ideas, I am sure they will ask the community. I leave it to them to find something out, really. If it will be pushing the ranks, well, then it will be it, but I am sure there will be a lot of complaining about it.
But if everyone is affected by whatever change they do, then I'm fine with it, as long as changes are not too drastic.
Well, some people do work hard to attain the points for a rank. Imagine the disappointment when they drop back. It's not whether everyone is affected or not, it all comes back to the fact, there's going to be a drop and that would cause an outcry.
But if everyone is affected by whatever change they do, then I'm fine with it, as long as changes are not too drastic.
Yes, but as it is, not many are like you. There are a good number of people that will get very angry if their rank decreases, even though they do not lose AP (this is also in the group of people who gets pissed if they lose AP after having spammed, because "they did not spam!!". I do not find it to be a problem just yet, and the staff does not seem to think it either.
I guess pushing requirements up for the ranks is out of the question. After all high numbers of angry users = a high chance of a decrease of people that play AG.
