I just tried the game and here is the review I gave it. "I'ts a fun game, but the controls are strange to me and smiley wars seems to be the same thing but better, i'd like it if the mouse were used to aim, or if the keys to fire and use the grenade were not as close together, my hands are too big and it's uncomfortable to play. 7.5/10"
Kasic has a point.....I vote for Warfare 1917. Personally I think the first is better than the sequel just because of you don't have to select where you want your men to go, and there's trenches. The trenches are what make the game fun along with the upgrades.
I don't see what people like in those Warfare 1917/1944, they both seem the same to me, 3 rows, slow respawn, costly units, and no strategy. 1 enemy tank mows down all your units and since you can only spawn 1 RPG trooper, and then he blows up, you have to wait a minute before you can even try again. It just doesn't seem fun to me at all.

Kasic from what I found from what you said I think you only have play 1944. 1917 is much better. It took me about half an hour to beat both games.
No i'm pretty sure i've played both, just the only difference is the terrain is slightly better in 1917, they still have the same basic concept to win, flush all units down the middle row and 1-2 on the sides to hold off incoming units.
