it seems a new fallout game has been announced as of April 20. it is called not Fallout 4, but Fallout:New Vegas

it took them years to come out with a fallout 3 and they decide now to shorten the wait period to a year?

I don't think it would be as good as Fallout 3 cause Fallout 3 took... 4 years to make? While New Vegas is being shorten by a year (I don't know how long it's been in the works). Sounds like a cool game though, maybe you'll be able to see what happends to Vegas' landmarks. x]

Two I believe. It hasn't been 4 years since they bought the rights. Lawl.

Sounds good. It would be nice to see what the Eiffel Tower would look like.

I'd like to get that game. It sounds pretty cool. Hopefully they'll be working 25 hours a day to make it perfect.

They bought the rights in 2004, worked on it, and it was released in 2008.

Sounds like it should be good, I wonder how large to map will be: bigger or smaller than fallout 3

Fallout 3 had a huge map.

Its probably a DLC just a guess by looking at the name. Like Mothership Zeta and the other ones

They did? Wow, where have I been? But where would Oblivion factor in? They released it after much delay in 2006 I believe.

2006-2008. Two years I'd imagine. Those are now Bethesdas' main series's. Also Fallout 3 had a very similar if not identical physics engine to Oblivion as I recall.

New Vegas still sounds awesome.

from what i've read about it it appears to be bigger, but it also appears to follow the same format as fallout 3(e.g
silent hero)

it is not a DLC, the zeta mothership is the *LAST* DLC for fallout 3(from what i've read). and Bethestda said it will be a game, not DLC.
