Heres a question, if you travel out into space inside your space ship, do u put in an air conditioner or a heater?

Space is cold, but heres what happens when an object is introduced into space, the side facing the sun heats up too something like 200 degrees celcius and the side away from the sun cools too -180 degrees celcius(i pulled those numbers out of my ass but they are basically oposites)

so i figure id ask on this forum for all your opinions.

Well, with your explanation, I wouldn't do anything to it
Heating it would be too hot,
Cooling it would be too cold.

Couldn't you just continuely spin the ship at a pace that means both sides end up just right. The insualtion )as long as the tiles don't fall of >.&gt should be good enough though so that heaters/AC isn't a huge issue.

I'd opt for both systems to be in place, since you said that the temperatures extremely vary.

Isn't it hotter in space? I have no clue how the temperature works, but I would install both systems, in case I needed them.

Depends on the distance.

In space, it would be generally very cold unless you were in enough proximity to the sun.

Knight_34 is on the money. However, while it does depend on the distance, it also is depends on exposure to sunlight.

How about you just put both in? It would be a lot easier.

dont mean to be a snob but you spelled celsius wrong :P well youd die at either temperature and a simple heater/cooler wouldnt be enough to change either of those extreme temperaturs

Well, we have people in space right now so I'm sure we already have this problem resolved.
