And yeah, he doesn't wear em. Just that orange T-shirt. But squids have a different anatomy than humans. Even if they didn't, do you think the animators would be accurate on a show aimed for kids?
While poking holes in Spongebob, I'll say something I've noticed; Squidward isn't actually a squid, lol. You see how he has 4 legs altogether? Plus 2 arms? That makes 6 limbs. Squids have 10, not 6.
P.S.- I had no choice in the matter of watching Spongebob. My lil bro watches it on TV ALL THE TIME, with the volume on super-loud.

I knew that. It is basically impossible to never see the show spongebob on TV lol. yeah he doesnt wear pants. I knew that but when i see the show i dont pay attention to it

When I was about 6 and my lil sis was about 5 we would make fun of squidward cause he didn't wear pants.

i find it odd. in some episodes, when he has no pants on, he covers his....well you get the idea. But then he puts a shirt on which dosn;t cover it, and is totally fine. It's so confusing.

yea i get what you mean but then sometimes one of the characters is wearing nothing at all like that crab dude i think?
