I recently watched the new gametrailers episode, where Gabe Newell (aka Jabba the Fat) has still divulged nothing on HL2 Ep3, but has mentioned a Portal 2 and Counterstrike 2. Share your thoughts on the good news or the bullshit that is their lack of sharing information.

they are not loyal to their fans

That has got be the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard, Valve supports their games more than any other developer out there! Team Fortress for example has been out for almost 2 years and their still pumping content for it...

But that isnt the point. I adknowledge they do care about their fans, but the episodic content for HL 2 is what everybody is really looking for, and how they say nothing about it makes that fanbase dwindle. All we want is ep 3!!!

Dont you know how long it takes to make those type of games. Good games take years, stupid games are rushed in like weeks. But they were supposed to reveal it on 2008. They didnt..... But they havent forgotten about us. They're just probably taking their time.

I've never actually played any of the Half-Life games, I plan too though, but I understand how annoying it is when stuff gets delayed and there's a silence in news about said product. However would you rather them rush it out and give you even more fodder for complaints? I think Valve realize that the HL fanbase is seriously hardcore, and that they love the series so much that if they make one tiny mistake they're going to hear about it. They'll release it eventually, just crank up the patience.

Valve doesn't understand what 'episodic content' is really supposed to be like.

The whole idea is smaller content, but spaced not too far apart rather then spending years developing a huge game.

Unfortunately, they seem to think it means smaller content, spaced over years of development. It's rather irritating.
