The Adventures of ArmorGames: Ultimatum
Chapter 1: A Find

Romain dug into the ground, praying to Moat he was right. Lightning crackled around him, and the shadows seemed to whisper to him. He dug deeper, mud flying around him, splattering his ragged, dun tunic. This was the last chance for the amateur treasure digger. After this, he would have no gold to fund his efforts. He would starve and lose everything if this dig was not successful, if he did not find anything. Romain's rusty shovel hit something hard, and a loud WHUNK! could be heard. Laughing and smiling, and thanking Moat profusely, Romain knelt next to his find in the deep, circular pit he had dug. He slowly cleared away the thin layer of mud covering his find, Romain smiled. It was an old, rotten, wooden chest. There was a large, intricate lock on the chest which would've been hard to pick, but it was old and rusty, and Romain pried it off the chest easily. Romain tugged the chest open. In the chest was a scroll. The strange part was that, unlike the chest, the scroll seemed to be in perfect condition. It seemed to glow slightly in the downpour. Romain slowly picked the scroll up in his grubby work gloves, staring at it as if it was the most precious thing in the world. He clutched it to his chest. Now to get it identified.

The Adventures of ArmorGames: Ultimatum
Chapter 2: The Scroll's Trap

Romain, still clutching his treasure scroll, walked proudly into Calon, the jeweler/historian(even though he's only about 27)'s shop.
"What can I do for you, Romain?" said Calon good-naturedly.
"I want to know what this is, and how much it's worth," said Romain, gently laying his scroll on the table.
"Well, I'll see what I can do. Give me some time," said Calon. He went into his workroom.

As Rodain impatiently waited outside, Calon carefully used his small magnifying glass on the scroll.
"Hm. Word print and ink seems to be Galifan AG, which was used about 3,000 years ago," he murmured to himself. "Ancient. Should be worth at least a hundred gold just for that." Calon turned it around, tilting his head in curiosity at the strange glowing aura. Calon slowly began to recite a long-memorized Identification litany. The young jeweler's messy brown hair started to crackle and stand straight up, but he took no notice. In particularly powerful scrolls, that sort of thing was common. Calon's voice grew louder and louder, ending in a reverberating, resounding echo that shook the walls of his rinky-dink shop. "Summoning spell," he said thoughtfully. "Should be worth at least 2500 gold." But Calon, being a very thorough, curious, hard worker, wanted to know what it summoned. He began to read the incantation on the scroll. His hair stood right on end again. The air seemed to fizz around him. A steady red mist began to envelop Calon. The precious artifacts around him began to shake and fall. The jeweler desperately tried to stop reading and pull the plug, but he couldn't stop reading. Calon felt he was in a trance. He tried desperately to move his arms, but couldn't. Blood began to bubble up from Calon's mouth and trickle down from his nose. His dark, thick hair began to get gray streaks and become thinner. The jeweler found it getting harder and harder to breathe. Calon's joints weakened and he fell to his knees. Still he read, unable to stop, the trance holding him strong. Romain still suspected nothing wrong. He didn't see or hear anything from the other room. Calon's breath came out in choking gasps and his eyes rolled up into his head. Foam bubbled at the corners of his mouth. He fell, supine. His chest began to burn as if it were going to burst.
Think, he thought to himself rapidly. First rule of getting out of mind control or a trance...he was suddenly interrupted by a bout of convulsive shaking. His struggles were getting weaker, and still he read. First rule...don't be afraid, or you will become an easier target. He took a deep, shaky breath, and the convulsions became less severe. Second...willpower. I want to get free. Calon thought. LET ME GO! he bellowed mentally, putting all his effort into it. The pains in his chest lessened somewhat. He slowly focused and began to regain control. Finally, all the effects stopped and he stopped reading. Calon dropped the scroll, his hands shaking. He was exhausted from the effort, not just from reading(reading a magic scroll is very draining; the more powerful the scroll, the more tiring. And the same thing goes with mind control; the more powerful the controller; the more exhausting)but from the pain and the weakness the mind control had instilled. He called out for help weakly, his voice rasping. Romain ran in. He took one look at Calon, laying on the floor, and hauled him to his feet by his collar.
"What did the scroll summon!?" Romain demanded
"It summoned..." gasped Calon

The Adventures of ArmorGames: Ultimatum
Chapter 3: A Revelation

"-Strop," groaned Calon. The jeweler sat back down and held his head in his hands. He had an awful migraine.
"Strop!?" said Romain, flabbergasted. "That can't be! He was summoned back to ArmorGames almost a hundred years ago! And the scroll that Nicho and Rion used to return him is sitting in the AG History Museum, on display!"
"No," grunted Calon. "I know what I read. That scroll was implicated to entrap and re summon Strop. I mean, come on. It said "and let the ninja pony be trapped. And upon second reading, let the One True Mod be released to once again protect ArmorGames". How many other ninja pony mods are there, really?"
"But...that can't be," argued Romain.
"Romain, I am the jeweler and historian here. I know what I'm talking about," said Calon, annoyed.
"Well, Strop is supposed to be good. Why did that happen to you when you tried to read it if he was good?"
"The draining was the pure power of the scroll. The mind control was probably a trap set by the Wizards of Search Engine for whoever tried to free Strop prematurely," said Calon.
"But...even if you're right, then what is the Strop we have now?" asked Romain, confused.
"I don't know. But he's obviously as powerful as the real Strop, and is very good at deceiving. Whatever he has planned, we won't be able to stop him." Calon replied.
"Well, the fake Strop might just want to help ArmorGames," said Romain tentatively.
"Well, let's make sure," said Calon.

A few miles later, Calon and Romain were standing in front of the scroll that had summoned the imposter Strop, in the museum.
"Okay, Calon. What does it say?" said Romain.
"Well, I see why Graham thought he was summoning Strop," said Calon. "It says Anti-Strop."
"Anti-Strop?" demanded Romain. "What's that?"
"I have no idea," said Calon. He began to slowly read the scroll that summoned Anti-Strop. "And the Anti-Strop is the master of all disguises. He will protect and serve for AG for as long as necessary, so they can take over the world. And the Anti-Strop shall remain such, until his rival resurfaces. Then, destruction of the world."
"Who is they?" demanded Romain
"I don't know. But whatever the Anti-Strop is, it's powerful. Strop won't be able to beat it even when we summon him."
"So who can beat the Anti-Strop?" asked Romain.
"There's only one person. A faint hope exists in them," said Calon.
"Well then, who is it? Let's get them over here," said Romain.
"There's a problem," answered Calon tentatively
"What? Anti-Strop is going to destroy the world. Who would not help stop that?" asked Romain.
"Well, first of all, the world is still under the Curse of Deloric. More spammers, trollers, flamers, natural disasters, everything. And on the-" started Calon
"Fateful day it will all rise up under a single banner, creator or rival, and the world will be destroyed," snapped Romain. "We all know that. Get on with it."
"Well...the hope is about 25 feet under the ground," said Calon
"What? You mean they're dead?" said Romain
"Not exactly..." said Calon

The Adventures of ArmorGames: Ultimatum
Chapter 4: Dig!

"Graham? Really, Graham?" snapped Romain angrily.
"Well, in theory, he is the only one who can reverse the effects of the scroll, because he read it, so we're going to have to get him out," said Calon, looking equally unhappy with his plan.
"And how, exactly, is he not dead?" demanded Romain
"Well, true death is only when your remains are cremated. Graham still has a corpse, so he can be revived," said Calon. Romain shook his head angrily.
"Well, you know resurrections cost a fortune and a half. How are we supposed to rack up that kind of gold?" said Romain
"We sell Strop's scroll to the Moderator council," said Calon, smiling.
"Ok, then..." said Romain
"But first," said Calon. "We dig." He tossed Romain a shovel.

"Agh..." said Calon, rubbing his blistered hands. "How do you dig all the time?"
"Practice," said Romain, grinning. He hauled up Graham's coffin easily. The lid kind of came off a little bit, and the corpse's hand came out of the coffin. Calon gagged and turned away, disgusted. "Come on," said Romain, who had stumbled upon corpses before. "Don't be such a wimp. We've got to get this guy revived."

"Friends," said the Council leader, Dornan. "I'm afraid we have a serious problem."
"What is it?" asked a junior Council member.
"Strop has gone traitor. He just ravaged a city in the east. I'm afraid we won't be able to stop him," said Dornan, bowing his head.
"What can we do!?" demanded the War Counselor
"Nothing." Dornan said grimly.

It makes me so happy when I trick Papi like that. It lets me know my stories aren't predictable.

Have I not fulfilled that already? You say Deloric, and I say something different.

Hmm yes very unexpected. I hate it. But yet I like it a lot. =[

And why Graham?! Why not Papi?! bwawawawa.

I like how you said: resurrections cost a fortune and a half. =D

Because Papi's still alive, silly. And besides, he wasn't the one who summoned Anti-Strop. It was Graham, so only Graham can reverse the spell.

Like it said, almost a hundred years. But you said in your character sheet that Papi was a blind alien humanoid who aged slower than usual. So he's still alive.
