It odes happen to me cause I am also Italian they call me for fun in Greece mafioso. I don't like it a lot, but I don't have a big problem with it, it's just a bit boring some times.
Yea this happens to me aswell. People call me Nazi becuase im part german. Also people call me leperchaun because im half Irish but I dont mind that one because I have good luck anyways.
It shouldn't happen anyway because its wrong to make fun of another ones origin.
I think those jokes go too far, because terrorists and Nazis are not funny, and therefore it's a huge insult. Little things like Polish jokes don't bother me (I'm Polish, so if they don't bother me...). It doesn't happen to me too much, and it's okay as long as they don't go to an extreme. In your case, I wouldn't think it's okay at all.
I have curly hair and I get called a Jew WAY too many times. But you learn too ignore it and move on. (It doesn't help that I'm rather nerdy looking too -_- )
I hear you man I'm half Lebanese also, and whenever I would say that over Xbox live people would start screaming terrorist. It's definitely not ok because their ignorance causes them to hate an entire race. And my friend who is from Baghdad gets called a terrorist by people who say they're just joking. There's nothing funny about it. People don't realize the damage they do; just because you say you're joking doesn't mean that there's no damage done. Anyway, it's tough to deal with and I feel for you. Unfortunately most kids get these racist sentiments from their parents, so really a lot of the time they we're taught to hate. Nowadays a ton of racial slurs get thrown around all the time and nobody thinks of the effect those words have. For now, I guess the only thing we can do is ignore it.
