The legal age where I live (Rhode Island, USA) is 16. I personally think you should wait until your 18 or you get out of high school. I think this because by the time you get out of high school, you usually independent, and should be able to make the decision yourself.
I was just guessing using my knowledge of what some other type of criminal would say. For instance, if you robbed a bank, and if someone asked you about, you would probably say you didn't to avoid getting caught. I'm just assuming a pedophile would deny being a pedophile.
