I have never played a Halo game and I have even said no to playing it, why because I can.

Anyone else that doesn't care much for Halo and think it's overated.

Well, to fairly say that it's overrated, you should have given it a chance in the first place.

But I have played it, and yeah.. it was a disappointment. I think the reason why it's gotten such excellent reception is due to a couple of factors:

It's probably the landmark 'first' high quality FPS to come out on console. It was nicely delivered & well made, but there wasn't anything special about it - if you'd been playing FPS' on PC for years prior, there wasn't anything about it that was new or exciting; the plot was a joke and the 'characters' were either irritating or non-existent. However, since that was at a time when video gaming was branching into other markets (not just for total geeks anymore), and PC gaming is less excessible then console gaming, Halo saw a lot of buisness from people new to the industry who had never seen anything of its ilk before - hence the wide reception that it's one of the greatest games ever made, when in fact it's not even close.

Also, doubtlessly some 'journalists' have heavier pockets for giving it more positive reviews.

Halo is a disappointment; its pretty much a better looking version of The Conduit

Good job. Keep away from Halo forever. I'm pretty sure it will add about 10 years to your life. It messes up your brain worse than drugs. That's why I have a PS3. Man, I should stop saying that.

That's great! Want a cookie?

Look, I'm gonna be real direct and blunt with you, because that's how I roll. Who cares? Honestly, so what if you don't like Halo? Personally, I think its great. But whatever.

I can't believe what I'm hearing. Pauler, I'm sure your a smart guy and all, but I'm really confused as to what was going through your head when you said that. Halo is a video game people, not crack.

For those who don't know or are to arrogant and ignorant to want to know, Halo is actually a clean and not violent shooter with great graphics and an intriguing and intelligent story line. It's not gratuitous or extremely violent as some may think.

Oh and I'm sorry if I sounded rude, but really, you can't judge a book by its cover.

I played all three of the Halo's with a friend of mine and was thoroughly unimpressed by it in all factors. Everything I'll complain about has been said in previous posts so I won't clog it up with repetition but as a longtime PC gamer I went into the game expecting something more out of this "incredible FPS." What I got was a slap in the face and a joke of a game.

If its so bad in your opinion then why waste your time playing through all three games? What happened, did your alternate ego take over you and force you to do it? I share valkyrie's frustration with some of you people, some of your comments are controversial, extremely iggnorant, and very judgmental. I myself am a Halo fan, so I don't see where all this negativity is coming from. Of course, not everyone likes the same games, but still.

2 and 3 were okay, but not the greatest games in the world. Halo: Combat Evolved on the PC really was something though. I'd recommend that out of the whole series, if you'd like to start somewhere.

Well I don't like constantly being told "IT R DA GRAYTAST GEAM EVAR"

So I thought I would make a point and come out and say I don't enjoy it and I won't go along with the hype.

Never said that. And like I told you personally, I think you passed it up without giving it a fair chance. Also, I've never posted with that kind of grammar and spelling in my life.

Halo: Combat Evolved on the PC really was something though.

While not my favorite in the series I will agree that was really fun to play the first time through when I first got it.
