In seminar I overheard someone say "This song is #1 in Rolling Stones magazine. If you don't like it, I can't help you"

Is this true that what a majority likes means you can't help the indifferent people?

I felt like if you say you can't help someone just because of a colliding opinion then you're taking the easy way out of not doing anything.

Thoughts?

Well, is it not just because they cannot help that you dislike something?
Or rather, saying that it is not their problem you disagree with their tastes of music/movies/... politicians...

I'm debating whether to make an annoying comment about Popular Media or not.

"I can't help you to discuss about this topic"
Meh, that didn't come out all right.
But most people would take the way of least resistance, right?

Uhm, since this is not about music but a term used.
Thus this is most liekly the best place for it, unless you can find any popular media about language..

"I can't help you to discuss about this topic"

That or... Hmm, what would it be in Danish...
"Saa kan jeg ikke hjaelpe dig..." Uhm, then you are a lost case. You are out of reach for common sense...

Trying to figure out what the term would be in Danish, and what the meaning would be with it.
That way it should be easier to get the meaning in English, and thus "solving" the problem.
I figured it would be something like "Then you are a lost case" or "You have no common sense" or something like it.
