No they don't. They're pretty useful for support and they tank really well.

And in numbers that can be very good because the do have Aoe damage.

Prides suck overall. I 1v1'd a guy with 5 prides against my 1 hov tank. Who won? me. After the skirmish, tank had 85% health. Lmao.

Yeah, but it's too hard to mass up influence units.

Dude they're not suppose to be strong, they're suppose to take out units that are in clusters because they have splash damage. If those were gladiators, they'd win because they do more damage. Prides are just useful for splash though.

They have too weak of a damage to be useful.
It takes like, about, literally, 100 hits to hit a scout.

In certain game modes it isn't... Farsnipers are pretty easy to mass up if you got meds and units in front of it. In a influence units only game, special forces have proven most useful. The marines have auto heal, longer range, and more damage. If you have enough marines, anything will die to them. Saints, prides (okay maybe not far snipers) will die to the rines backed up by the meds that come with them.

Unless you run 4 spec ops and are caps it takes forever to mass units that cost about 30 seconds of gathering to make, and even than it takes awhile.

Eh, not true. More like 30, but they splash.... Have like 3 of them that's like = to a sakata without the auto heal.

Influence only game.... I ran 3 spec ops with it. It's a long waiting game. But i had an army of them, and any saints that went towards them got demolished.

Easier to mass Sakatas.
They still do have decent range...

Not sure if this was directed at me? But: Glads would do maybe...slightly better at most? I think Glads were 4hkos? Prides are around the same, if not 5-6 with somewhat weaker damage.

And, to kill grouped units? If they couldn't take 1 hov tank, what makes you think 25 of them can take 5 hov tanks? Alright, maybe, just maybe, like 100 of them can take 20 hov tanks. But no one is gonna wait that long or be that nice.

You say you use them for the splash. But if you're fighting grouped units (which deal more dps than a single unit), then Prides will just die quicker, unless I'm missing something?
