So, since my last competition was pretty much a discussion, I'll now close that and move over to this general colony discussion (the others are all specific)
TALK ABOUT ANYTHING RELATED TO COLONY (and beef burgers)
Im so sick of these prehacking noobs. Just cause somebody posts a link to a prehack doesnt mean you all have to run to it.
Dont play people you dont know, play me, and tell Jakriny my idea.
To get rid of hacks, Krin should learn how to hack.
Exactly, dude. There are 4 hacking sites now, if your playing on one of these sites, you get triple ressources, or you can build central bases, or you dont have to pay for units.
Everything what Krin has to do, is to go to this swf, change it that all players playing there now have a red-lettered name or so. Then you know who hacks, immediately, and everybody is happy.
Oh well, if hes updating colony, hes also hacking, but hell yes i didnt want to confuse this noob.
Does anybody know how to micro very well? I can't seem to micro very well. As a result, how can I win in a micro fight of hover tanks against hover tanks? (Note: The micro fight only involves hover tanks. Also, the fight is assuming that there are the same amount of hover tanks.)
Try to make him chase you, then fall back, push hold for a split second, and then run away again.
If you do it well, you won't lose much ground, and putting units on hold makes them outrange units on advance, so you will shoot them without getting shot yourself.
I tried chronite tanks vs chronite tanks. Still nothing.
Dude, these are splash units, there is no difference when you micro with them!
Try to make him chase you, then fall back, push hold for a split second, and then run away again.

Yeah, this is basically how it works, all noobs in this world can make it if they know how. The point is, you have to learn WHEN you do everything, u need to get a good timing for this.
Microing makes meds useless, all units attack only ONE enemy unit, thats also better when the enemy has no meds (now the first enemy unit dies quicklier, and from now on he deals less damage than u, where the sum of the enemy attacks is shared to any of your hovs if he doesnt micro)
You cant micro with splash units because one splash unit hits with one shot all enemy units anyway. Splash units are always strong, normal units only if you can micro well (or then they will achieve full power).
And strangely i cant micro grods, although they have no splash. Sniper micro makes dealing you excellent damage: All attacks arrive at the same time, have the same target, so enemy unit cant get healed. Scout micro is also important, if you win a scout war, you kinda won the game (in a 1v1)
I don't follow people's names, especially if it's the first time I've seen them...
MicrovMicro is a lot of dancing...always trying to get your guys in range...
Anyway, maybe send out a group of hovers to take the shot, then rush in? If he just doesn't do anything, they waste a reload and you get a full shot on, but if he does and makes his hovers not attack your hovers, the group you sent out gets free shots.
There's a bit of micro in splash units, just pushing hold position for more range.
CtankvCtank is also micro--if you both send all your units at each other, both groups die. If you send out a little, and then the rest--read above, they either waste a reload or take damage. If they make some tanks shoot your tanks, then your tanks did more damage in splash to them than you lost.
Hey, vincent: you play starcraft? What server/bnet? I'm muted though. I wanna play you
Quick all you do is hack and post your hacks. Also because of you I can't enjoy a legit 1v1
Its currently 2:2 for us, i can make a 5th match that we can see whos better. We played 4 1v1s on the first day we met in colony, after i made the spreadsheet.
Those micro tips help, but I still need more practice. I get a picture of the micro. I won't practice today though because I'm busy at the minute. Very busy.
