A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.
Well, that said, heres the rules:
1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)! 2) It must fit the weeks theme 3) It must be submitted before the deadline 4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written) 5) One Submission per user 6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)
Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...
The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond
*sigh* Would ya stop complainin'? Fallen's a great judge, if a lil' tardy most every week. I'm tired of hearing about how you used to be the judge. Just be quiet about it, would ya?
I swear pal, for all I've lived on that hellish week, if you dare imply I lied I'll find you and God knows what I'll do to you. I still have an immense scar covering half the width of my index... And for begging the co-judges; I had no internet. You know, since I and don't lie and all...
Yeah, judging'll be pretty soon, unless you want me to wait a little longer. I can get on it and post it tomorrow if you'd like. That way the pace of things would get back to normal and hopefully we'll get back a decent amount of submissions. I wouldn't want to kill this contest for one week of terrible personnal life :P
