A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

Well, that said, heres the rules:

1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)!
2) It must fit the weeks theme
3) It must be submitted before the deadline
4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written)
5) One Submission per user
6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)

Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...

The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

Mkay, this round's theme I'm A Believer judging is under way.

5th Place: DairyHick

Comrade In The Trench
Pouring Wine Out Of The Holes
Yet Firm To Return.

It was good wording, but I didn't feel that big of a spark in the theme of it. Maybe next time make it a bit more understandable? Keep on going.

4th Place: beastahayes

Words of denial
To those words, you can suck it
I follow my dreams

Although the suck it thing may have thrown people off, I see where you are coming from. You don't care what people think of you or what you believe. Yaaaay. 4th Place!

3rd Place: Freakenstein

In treasure-filled skies,
My dream-bound child ponders
The chest of wonders

I like the flow of this one, Frank. The wording is beautiful, and it fits in perfectly with the theme. Nothing to change, just these ones were better I guess.

2nd Place: Emperor Palpatine

Confident and proud,
We fufill our destiny
With a leap of faith.

I liked tat one. It woze goodd. Believing caught you in this one. The story and flow was excellent. GO EMP!

1st Place Merit Winner: Alexistigerspice

I know in my heart,
Sunshine through shadowy doubt;
Something to fight for

Oh yes. The poem was very inspirational. I liked the whole thing. I could feel it. Well done. Ask a mod for your merit maaaaan.

I have one.

Seas like the vast sky
Raging and then calm again
Full of mysteries.
