A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.
Well, that said, heres the rules:
1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)! 2) It must fit the weeks theme 3) It must be submitted before the deadline 4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written) 5) One Submission per user 6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)
Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...
The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond
Well I never expected to win I did it just to try it. Well at least I got some points for the post.....Favorite cookie? Dunno as long as there freshly baked and hot of the plate lol.
It takes time to judge you know. It's hard to judge everyone... and give each of them a few sentences... when I could be finishing my homework. If you want me to judge everyone, I won't post very much for each entry.
And there is no merit because a mod hasn't approved the haiku contest for a merit yet.
Ok, if we aren't gonna have merits then after this week's theme some kind of incentive for the winner should be implemented. Maybe let the winner pick the theme?
Or I could do a simple illustration for the winning haiku, how does that sound?
