A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.
Well, that said, heres the rules:
1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)! 2) It must fit the weeks theme 3) It must be submitted before the deadline 4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written) 5) One Submission per user 6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)
Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...
The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond
Oops. Sorry for double posting. I was going to submit a haiku. But on second thoughts, I realized that my haiku wouldn't fit the theme. My above comment should give you an idea what my haiku would have been. It's regarding one of my coworkers, but we won't discuss whether I like her or not. Hehe...anyways, good luck everyone!
Mad grey eyes gleam red, Arcane flames lick at the stones; The town is ablaze.
Any problems with the syllables? Note that 'grey' is a colour as well as a figure of old age. I also hope the connection to the theme isn't too subtle this time *grumble*
I know that surwhatup2....I've been joining this contest for years dude. And I have a question for you sourwhatup2. "HOW CAN I ENTER THIS CONTEST WITHOUT READING THE RULES?"
"HOW CAN I ENTER THIS CONTEST WITHOUT READING THE RULES?"
Do you realize how many different Haiku's you have put out for just this theme?
Not just that..but before you didn't make it clear that you were making a re-entry. It seemed like you thought that you were making multiple submissions that would all count
You also plagiarized...even if a friend told you it...it is still plagiarism as it was your friend that made it
I know that surwhatup2....I've been joining this contest for years dude.
Okay, I am now the judge for this round. And don't ask questions. Nicho has asked me to fill in for him, so, end of discussion.
Now, entries are due January 14th, so get your submissions in!
And by the way, Lee-Blade, you need to stop trying so hard to win. I'm sorry, but in keeping with Maverick's official, original rules, I think you are disqualified. Hang on while I corroborate with him.
