A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.
Well, that said, heres the rules:
1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)! 2) It must fit the weeks theme 3) It must be submitted before the deadline 4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written) 5) One Submission per user 6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)
Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...
The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond
Cenere is there a Merit for the winner yet? and if there ever is will the previous winners be able to claim one? (Me) I asked Strop but don't know what's happening

I hardly believe so. The Poetry Contest has merits, and since Haikus are poetry... Yeah, I think it won't be something you get, since there already are a poetry contest (and a more varied one too).
Guys. The deadline is now the 23rd... due to the fact that I am trashing this computer and getting a new one.
If someone more or less reputable wants to judge beforehand, go right ahead. I'm not sure whether I should be the judge right now... but right now Mav has let me to judge this. If you want me to judge it now I'll just post like
1st: so and so 2nd: blabbermouth 3rd: baba o'reily
Hopeless cause. Carlie closed her comments until the end of September.
Still... Asking the mods won't get you anywhere, as I can see Strop has been asked about it. The only way would be asking Carlie, and in this case it means being patient. But look how many is entering either way, without the merit....
