There have been a lot of questions on how you get the ingredients to the cookie. Here's how you do it. After you've gotten the Snow WHite apple, give it to the witch in Darkville. Then, look at the top of the screen - a doorway!! Go in and talk to the Witch Baker, she'll give you the necessary ingredients to make the cookie, which are flour, raisins, Dwarven sugar, and Quizzical sweets. Get the sweets at the sweet shop in the same town your in, Dwarven sugar is a dead give-away, the raisins are at the nearby farm, the flour is at the windmill (check the "secret maps" in the guide for the location). Once you have all the ingredients, give it to the Witch at the sweet shop in Halloweentown. Now you can go find those 4 bad princesses. Don't be in a big hurry to find them though, they are REALLY tough to beat.
One more tip...to level up, go to Dwarven Village. It's the only town that doesn't have the armies in it. Fight just outside of town, re-enter to get supplies, weapons, armor, save the game, then go outside to fight again. A quick way to get to the level you need for the final fights.
