Favourite or Favorite

which one's do you use?

I use Colour and Armour, but when I spell favorite I use the other one...

I use color, armor, and favorite.

I don't know why, I guess that's just how I was taught in school.

I use color, armor, and favorite. For some reason the addition of the "u" always seemed to denominate that there might be something fancy about whatever the world was refering to.

Colour, favourite, but oddly enough armor (I think it is because of this site).
I usually am more persistent when writing, but "freehand" like these posts, not so much.
No the other hand, I only use colour often enough to notice it.

Color, Armor and Favorite.

Because I'm proud to be an American!

I agree with Ernie. It really doesn't matter though, the words mean the same thing. It just shows how diverse a site like this is.

I use color, armor, and favorite. All mainly because I could remember them more easily like that as a kid...

What exactly is the point of the "u" if it's silent and it makes the world look...different?

There is no point, just like every other silent letter.

"Please spell knife"
"N-i-f-e"
"No, it's K-n-i-f-e. The K is silent"
"Then take that quite mother fucker out 'cause he's confusing me"

Oh, how I love Katt Williams.

Color, Favorite, and Armor. But I spell "armored" as "armoured', for some reason.
