What do you guys think about the Mafia? What do you know of, and, could you tell of any experiences you've had? Also, let's talk about Mafia vs. CIA or Mafia vs. FBI, Al Qaeda, Somali pirates, etc.

They seem pretty cool in the GTA games, and movies make them out to be the same, but I don't think they're what the media portrays them to be.

The Mafia is a horrible gang in Italy, why would anyone compare them to the F.B.I and C.I.A?

Oh, but they're much to big to be called a gang! An organization would make more sense, but a gang?

well actually everyone in the Mafia is either a mobster, gangster, or salesmen (of drugs of course).... so yeah basically it's a big gang.

Aaaaaaanyways not sure why you would compare them to the FBI or CIA... the other two you said (Al Qaeda and Samali Pirates) is a better comparison if you ask me. but Al qaeda still isn't that good of a comparison if you ask me considering they are run by basically religion...... maybe the mafia is too though I don't know much about them lol

No, that would be the case if the Mafia was united, but it isn't; the Mafia spends more time fighting against other Mafia "families" than they do against everyday people.

yea you shouldnt compare the mafia to the cia or fbi...more to like Mexican Cartels...they run theire country just like the mafia and sell drugs just like the mafia...if you ask me im sure theyre in business together...just that a mafia is more family oriented, meaning Mafia boss will leave his empire to his son and so on...where as a cartel just leaves it to the guy that knocked off the other guy....

mafia is actually organised if they werent organised they could have been cought ages ago there are still mafia around the world and they are still taking people down with them and yes you are rite ernie. The mafia are actually fighting other familes some reasons are because their selling some drugs or whatever on their turf because more people want some those there. Or just beacause they want to be the dominant family.

But if it were the mafia united we could be fighting a gangster war and who knows what troubkes that could lead up too.

well let me provide a little more light on my subject(always wanted to say that )
The gang started in 1910's-20's Sicily. They started expanding their gang, and soon had members all around Italy and some other parts of the Mediterranean. The Italian immigrants of the 1930's brought with them the culture and lifestyle they had back in the old country, bringing La Cosa Nostra(Italian for our little thing, or our secret group) with it. The Mafia traces its roots to gangs who sold drugs and made arrests for a small city during the late 1800's. If there were punks that mugged innocent people, they would be "taken care of" The Boston Mob echoed this when in their prime in the 60's and 70's. Which leads us to my next point:The U.S. Mob. After immigrating here from Italy, the families and sons of gangsters lived the lifestyle they did back home, only with more freedom. They could sell drugs much easier, they could dispose of bodies as efficiently as possible. The U.S. opened a big door for the Mafia, and they absolutely took it.
