Resilience is awesome, dont trash pvp just because u fail at it and blame it on resilience. another reason to quit the game right there, WoW is going to fall soon and the new mmorpg will be much better im sure!
Explain before I write you off as raving mad man (Due mostly to your ludicrous claims, and partially because of your spelling and grammar).
First and foremost, I gave no indication of how satisfied or capable I am in PvP. Though I have never given arena a second glance, I -consistantly- top level 80 BGs for Damage Done/Killing Blows... When I infrequently feel like PvPing.
Now that I've gotten my personal testimony out of the way (which you will doubtlessly ignore as lies), lets talk resilience. Resilience was implimented in an attempt to prevent high-end raiders from dominating because of their
superior gear. Giving gear that will (eventually) level the playing field for PvP makes sense on paper, but its implementation was flawed and continues to leave much to be desired.
First of all, to get PvP gear you must PvP. That sounds like a good idea... Until you realize that unless you catch the wave of each expansion you'll drown in a sea of people who vastly out gear you. This is further hindered by...
Second of all, to win at PvP (ESPECIALLY ARENA) you need PvP gear. Fully geared PvPers will have roughly double (tripple, if we're counting the reduction from resilience) the health of a player in average entry-level 80 gear. You can claim that "If you're better you'll win anyway."... But you'd then be a lier AND a fool. Unless your mad skills can give you three times the health you actually have, and STILL manage to top whoever you're fighting with whatever is left over, you'll be curb stomped. That isn't failing at PvP, that's being owned by numbers.
Thirdly and finally, without resilience the game would be more accessible to casual players and those who wish to experience both PvE and PvP without wasting time in tedious grind fests to gear up for both. Will it be fair? Of course not, it is a gear-based game and as such will NEVER be perfectly fair for everyone. Superraidgear PvPers would dominate (Assuming they aren't just burst'd to the ground, since without resilience they will be less than ~25% harder to kill than some one in a couple entry-level epics). Will it be BETTER? Yes. Less time will be wasted, good but infrequent players will stand a much greater chance, and the truly gifted PvPers will be completely unaffected (After all, if the casuals and PvE players stand a chance they'll be more inclined to take it... And if you're actually better, it will be no trouble to win on a slightly less stacked playing field.).
TL;DR: Skilled Swordsmen lose to heavily armored tanks driven by mentally addled quadriplegics.
Metaphorgotten TL;DR: The tank represents Resilience.
