I'm just curious. I'm NOT asking to be a mod. I'm just asking: Do you need merits to be a mod? 'Cause most mods have lots of merits.

Not necessarily. We are looking for good members of the community to be moderators who can prove (but not necessarily tell us) that they are mod-material.

I wouldn't think so... but most mods are serious, so they act mature when writing a game review, and good game reviews equal merits.

Mods are appointed through maturity, trust, but the merit count helps. It means your devoted.

And also a helpful review. You can also earn merits by weaning competitions/contests.

Actually it is easy...if you want to be mature you can...it comes naturally you know? Perhaps for some...but not for all. And once you're used to it...it seeps into you.

If any of you have ever been a mod on any site, you would know that it is hard. You have to be very devoted. Esspecailly on a site as big as this.

That's what merits show. I'm sure that less the half of all of the people on Armor Games who have merits, would not have bothered with spending time doing it. Mods would probably do this anyway.

And Nich, a true poet at work.

Merits are not a requirement. However, if a member has multiple merits, it shows that they are a constructive member of the community, and possibly moderator-worthy.

Merits show responsability, devotion and maturity...so any good mod has a few or many merits.

Not necessarily. You don't need merits to become a moderator, but all moderators have them because getting merits means you took the time to write a meritworthy post, which shows the qualities of a moderator.
