I'm not going to just insult you, but have you guys ever heard good metal like Mastodon and Megadeth, and have you guys ever heard good songwriting and lyrics like Modest Mouse, the Shins, and Flaming Lips?
To be honest, I don't really think you have the point you think you have. The only reason you think Megadeth and Modest Mouse are any better because they better fit your style. You don't like Disturbed, so in your mind, they are a "bad" band. I like them, so in my mind, they are a "good" band. The reason good and bad are in quotations is because they don't really apply. It's all in your personal style. Example: I hate rap music, so I find it as a "bad" genre, but someone else would disagree, saying it's a "good" genre. There is no good or bad music or genres, just your opinions. See what I mean?
Of course they mean something! Into the Fire is about the singer's girlfriend commiting suicide. Tell me that means nothing. And their solos are alot more impressive than Mastodons monotonous 3 note sequences that seem to go on for ever. If you don't like the band, then don't whine about it to people who do. Just shut up and listen to what you do like. You won't accomplish anything by complaining to people about something you can't change.
Leviathan or whatever it's name is just sort of drags on for like 5 minutes. And once again, you don't get any awards for whining about other peoples tastes in music.
To join in on serving Buttersnack a prime cut of his @$$ medium rare.
Well lets take a look at 'Dehumanized'.
I will list it's very meaning found on www.disturbedpedia.net.
'The cold and callous nature of the world. Desire for departure from the aspects of life that make human beings dehumanized.Without feeling or emotion. Desentized to love, pain, life or death.'
That has major meaning. You just need to look deep enough.
10,000 fists; 'Meant to signify unity and strength, the kind of elation and power that can be felt at a momentous rock show. It's speaking to the nonbelievers(You, Buttersnack): You will remember the night you were struck by the sight of ten thousand fists in the air.'
You've never been to a metal/rock concert have you? Doesn't the sight of an a$$load of people, all with their hands in the air, either in fists or with horns, just inspire you into thinking; 'Why isn't the world always like this? Why can't we gather and enjoy life as it is for the moments we are living it?' That is the feeling in the air at any Disturbed show. David always refers to the crowd as 'his brothers, his sisters, his blood' at the end. This is stating that humanity is one in the same. Some of us are just afraid to admit it.
Don't bother, it's pretty useless. Some people can only see something from their own angle, and when someone else doesn't agree with their angle on it, it upsets them, kinda like when a babie's bottles runs out. It's scary for them, and they gotta try to change it, because they can't understand any different views from their own. They just don't have an open mind.
Buttersnack, don't be a hater, and if you will, keep it to your god forsaken self. To be honest, Mastodon sucks because I can't understand a word they say. Disturbed can at least be understood, and their meanings are actually MEANINGFUL
