Paula always sounded like she was on drugs or something, even when someone did horribly bad, she would still compliment them on EVERYTHING. If not their voice, their clothes or something else that is completely unrelated to singing.
I hope they get a new judge that can actually give constructive criticism. Someone not as harsh as Simon, and someone who doesn't sound like a babbling idiot like Randy.
I personally hate this show, but my parents watch it a lot and I thought I'd throw my opinion in on the matter.
I dont really like it anymore, its the samething every year and gets so stupid. But as for Paula leaving, they did not want to pay as much as she wanted. so she left, that and they need someone who is not so nice, and who does not come on the show high or has a hang over .....
Um... I think she is leaving because her contract wasn't renewed. Either she wanted too much money (or they wanted to cut her pay), or American Idol didn't want her back so they didn't renew her contract.

It is because they didn't pay her enough. Apparently 100 million dollars isn't enough.
I think it's stupid that she'd not take that, she would rather be unemployed... I mean come on... it's not like she can sing or anything anymore.
The only reason she's really famous now, is American Idol... without Idol she would be like she was before. And now I guess that she figures that she will be able to get another job. I doubt she will for that kind of money.
