If you're gonna say "get a 360, it's better" then don't bother, cause I'm not getting it.
I'm having trouble picking games for my PS3, which I'm getting in November. The list is: Uncharted 1+2 (2 is supposed to come out in November last time I heard) inFamous Call of Juarez 2:Bound in Blood MAG (Massive Action Game) Modern Warfare 2 Skate 2 MGS 4 My plan is I'm going ot get a PS3 for my B-Day in November, and I can get 2 games on my B-day. I'm having trouble picking which games I should get. I'm thinking about getting Uncharted 1+2, OR Uncharted and Modern Warfare 2 for my Birthday. Is this a good pick?
Then there's Christmas, and I can get 3 games for Christmas. I was thinking of getting inFamous, MAG, and Skate 2. Unless I should replace one of those games with another. If you have any suggestion for games fire away. I might not be able to get MGS 4 though, cause it's rated M and my parents don't like me getting M rated games. The only reason I can get Modern Warfare (I'm sure it's rated M) is that my friend is supposed to reserve it for me, and my parents wouldn't want something free to go to waste.
I think you should get inFamous and Modern Warfare 2 for your b-day. It stinks you can't get MGS4, because I highly recommend it. You should get both Uncharteds and MAG for Christmas, though.
My birthday's in like 4 days and I'm not really going to get any games, but yeah, get inFamous. I heard it's good, even though I don't have it :/
I know you don't have it on your list, and if you already have it I apologize, but get Bioshock. GET IT AND PLAY THE SHIT OUT OF IT. You will never get bored of this game. Even after you know the storyline and have played it 3 times you will never get bored of it.
Sorry for that poor excuse for a rant...
I want a PS3 too. But my cheap ass parents might not let me get one(If you're wondering why I love Bioshock so much, I had a 360 and played it, and from what I hear the PS3's is the same).
Modern Warfare 2 and if you already have/don't want Bioshock, inFamous.
Here's hoping i get a PS3 for my birthday, or I literraly think I will lose my sanity.
Flag I know you don't have it on your list, and if you already have it I apologize, but get Bioshock. GET IT AND PLAY THE **** OUT OF IT. You will never get bored of this game. Even after you know the storyline and have played it 3 times you will never get bored of it.
I gotta disagree, I'm sorry. True, you can play through it a few times and not get bored, but GamesArmor probably just got it a few days ago. I've had it for three weeks, and after the first week, I felt ripped off. THere's flatout zero replay value. I'd like to suggest Fallout 3, but if it has to be out of the list, don't bother with Jaurez. Red Dead Redemption will be alot better.
For your birthday, get MW2, and Uncharted, I would suggest. And for Christmas, get Uncharted 2 because then you would understand the story. And also for Christmas, i would recommend getting INfamous and MGS4. But you might not get the story for MGS4, as there are 3 games before it. Also, i wouldn't recommend skate 2, because it has a MASSIVE learning curve, which makes most people give up once you reach a certain part of the game.
OK since I already have a 360 and am planning on getting a PS3 I guess I could try to help out.
don't bother with Jaurez. Red Dead Redemption will be alot better.
While I agree that he shouldn't probably buy Jaurez, since I rented it, beat it, and didn't want to play it again. I will note that the other will not be out until after the holiday season.
I might not be able to get MGS 4 though, cause it's rated M and my parents don't like me getting M rated games. The only reason I can get Modern Warfare (I'm sure it's rated M) is that my friend is supposed to reserve it for me, and my parents wouldn't want something free to go to waste.
I wish the parents of less mature kids would be like that instead. It would make online gaming so much nicer.
Look honestly if I had any say in it I would just tell you to save your money and get gamefly(any game can be rented from the day of its release and you can play them until your done with them for only $15 a month so that means most likely 2-3 video games in a month for less then the price of one and you can buy the most addicting ones for a discounted price), but of course if you want to buy the games I can't really recommend any of the ones you suggested since I have not played them, or have and didn't like them. Modern Warfare 1 was nice, and I enjoyed it for about a a couple weeks or so before I sold it(the multiplayer to me was repetitive, but others would disagree with me)
Most important thing to note is that you need a back-up plan. At any time one of the games your planning on getting could get set back from its original release date. Now this rarely happens, but just bare that in mind. So thats really all the advice I can give you at this time.
Ok, back from being gone for a day. I'll start with short responses... SO if you posted a long comment go near the bottom of this post.
Oh, and MAG doesn't come out until next year
Oh, I didn't know that... I just assumed it was coming out this year, thanks!
Infamous
I know it's a great game, but atleast give an explanation for it!
Don't get MAG, I'd say you should get Modern Warfare 2.
Alright, seeing as how MAG is coming out next year.
don't forget LittleBigPlanet! that game has no end. AND it's profitable. I hear you can make your own LBP games and sell them on PSN, making some serious moolah.
Whoops! Sorry Graham, I totally forgot about that game. I might be able to get it as a 3rd game for my birthday IF my friends can chip together enough money to buy me something.
Yeah, definitely but Uncharted and inFamous, but I'd wait to see if any new games come out before christmas before deciding that.
Well my plan for Christmas was just something I presetted so I know what to get for Christmas if there wasn't any game coming out that I wanted.
Flag I think you should get inFamous and Modern Warfare 2 for your b-day. It stinks you can't get MGS4, because I highly recommend it. You should get both Uncharteds and MAG for Christmas, though. Hmm seems like inFamous is a MUST GET for my birthday then.
I know you don't have it on your list, and if you already have it I apologize, but get Bioshock. GET IT AND PLAY THE **** OUT OF IT. You will never get bored of this game. Even after you know the storyline and have played it 3 times you will never get bored of it.
Sorry to say, but I don't really want Bioshock. It's an awesome game though, I've played it on my friend's 360.

Seems like I'm getting Modern Warfare 2 for sure for my b-day. I can't get MGS 4 though, if I could I'd GLADLY buy it. And what do you mean by learning curve for Skate 2?
I'd like to suggest Fallout 3, but if it has to be out of the list, don't bother with Jaurez. Red Dead Redemption will be alot better.
I'd get Fallout 3. Really, but people's heads blowing up while my 3~6 year old siblings are watching isn't a good thing with my parents.
While I agree that he shouldn't probably buy Jaurez, since I rented it, beat it, and didn't want to play it again. I will note that the other will not be out until after the holiday season.
You mean Red Dead Redemption isn't coming out until after holidays?
I wish the parents of less mature kids would be like that instead. It would make online gaming so much nicer.
I'm pretty sure I misinterpreted this comment, but when I say that I can't get M games it isn't that my parents don't think I'm mature. They'll let me play M rated games, no prob, but my younger siblings watch me while i play games so like I said in the Fallout 3 post, watching people's heads blowing up with younger siblings isn't popular with my folks. Just wanted ot make things clear.
I'd get Gamefly, but my dad won't let me for some reason. Are any of the games I listed you played and didn't like? If so tell me.
Most important thing to note is that you need a back-up plan. At any time one of the games your planning on getting could get set back from its original release date. Now this rarely happens, but just bare that in mind. So thats really all the advice I can give you at this time.
Dude, did you even read the post above you? Those are the games I'm going to get. Besides, I'm already going to get Modern Warfare 2, and Prototype stinks. It's boring.
Uncharted definitely. I have it and I love it. The second one will undeniably because the best game ever made with a longer story, online multiplayer, and a movie making mode that puts Halo 3's theater to shame
