Hey,

I think there could be a spoiler tag when posting a forum post. That way, if there is a story spoiler or something, it would be hidden unless people click on the button to read it.

For example,

It was a great story... I really was surprised when: warning... spoiler about end of book!

[spoiler]Harry Potter marries Ginny![/spoiler]

Here is an example of what this would look like, but on another forum I go on.

Hidden spoiler:

Revealed spoiler:

Feedback anyone?

I think this may have been suggested before. For some reason there are a lot of great BB codes that are not compatible for reasons I could not think of. Some BB codes are not allowed for a reason, but this one and the [code] BB code would be nice additions in my opinion.

Yes [spoiler] and [code] are really needed sometimes...

I like it, but I don't think it should be a huge bar across the screen, just a small, compact button [like the BBCode buttons above the Reply Box] you can click to make the text appear...

I think it would be great having it, but for now more important things are needed.

Yeah, we need the code button even just for the Newcomers and S+S forum. Some BB codes are not allowed for a reason; you're right. I was going to suggest strikethrough but I was pretty sure it was suggested before, and some people would use strikethrough on their whole posts.

I agree with that, I didn't really like how it looked on that forum either.

Agreed, like the end of the optimization.

What is the point with writing a post and strikethrough it all, as if you did not meant to write it anyway > >...
In journals, that code is used for no longer up-to-date info, and as we are yet to achieve the power of edit, it is possibly why it has been shut down.

Agreed, like the end of the optimization

But yes, spoiler and code would be handy all over the site, actually. It would make explaining bbc a lot easier, and the spoiler would be good for bother actual spoilers and warnings in some way (a kind of censor, look at your own risk-tag)

Yeah, and I can see it being used a lot in Forum Games, for like question and answer games.

For example,

It was a great story... I really was surprised when: warning... spoiler about end of book!

[spoiler]Harry Potter marries Ginny![/spoiler]

Yeah, it would ruin the book for a few people who haven't read it(Then again, you just revealed the ending because there are no spoilers yet).

I think it would be great having it, but for now more important things are needed.

Then what ideas are worth implementing? Yes, upgrading the site is very important, but if we don't do anything suggested, then there is no point for Support and Suggestion.

Wow... agreed. :P But then again it could be for reporting glitches and problems with the site.

Who makes a forum for only bugs and glitches? The Support and Suggestion only has one three for that, because it isn't that important.

I agree here, of all things that could be added to a thread I like this one. but one big problem.. That would possibly bring up more spoiling of stuff correct? And how often do we see people (even experienced members) make the small mistake messing up a BB code.

But, it would block quite a bit but possibly bring in some more oopsies on the spoilers.

Sorry if that was sort of hard to understand.
