I understand why you would want this feature (though I wouldn't necesaryily becasue it is additional stuff we don't need). I think the site optimisation (as usual) takes priority though I can't think of a huge objection to it.
In fact this has once been discussed in the ArmorBlog some time ago, you can read it up here. I personally support the idea of showing the voter the tendency of the average rating ('Awesome', 'Great', 'Bad', etc.) but not showing the actual rating.
I think that it would be useful having this feature, the player will not be influenced by the other gamers ratings and also this feature may diminish the spam. Some players just see the rating (example 7.5) and post a comment like good game 7.5/10 without playing the game.
