Recently i have been studying somthing called lucid dreaming, its basicall a state of mind aquired while asleep and dreaming that allows you to do anything in your dreams.

anyways..

I found this very interesting so i decided to start trying it, it is actually very difficult and i havent been scussesful so far. apparently its normal to fail many times before egtting the hang of it..

if you want to know anything else about lucid dreaming post questions here.

or just post your thoughts.

Usually I have those when I am too sleepy to get up, and all I do is dreaming I get up...

And then the nightmares, where my interaction with the dream is running and dodging and stuff.

I take over my dreams sometimes... I had a dream once that I could transform into any kind of animal. I wished I was an eagle. I actually flapped my arms around. :P

you do relize the difficulty in taking over your dreams right?

most dreams that you think you have control over, you really dont.

I rarely have lucid dreams and when I have I forget right away that I ever had them.
When somebody has a lucid dream he or she can actively participate in and often manipulate the imaginary experiences in the dream environment. Also lucid dreams seem to be very real depending on a person's level of self-awareness during the dream.

Yes that's true, you it may seem that you are controlling the dreams, but this situation is very rare, cause when we are dreaming the mind does not make dream, some times can intervene but that's all dreams are made and "controlled" by our subconscious.

I think the thing I do is "trying to survive"... I am not dreaming about something that I am afraid of, no the dream makes me afraid of the thing I am dreaming of... Like being at some meeting and some guy starts shooting...
And because I am very likely to feel pain in my dreams, it does not seem fun to just stand up to the shooter.

As mentioned, it is either because I am half dreaming I am getting out of bed and getting dressed and stuff, and then waking and finding out "no, you are still in bed, stuptard", or nightmares that is very clear, and my choices being where to run and hide.

That's common some times we do the things that we dream that we are doing. For some reason especially when you are dreaming that you are peeing you are really peeing.

It has been hypothesized that Meditation before sleep can also improve the occurrence of a lucid dream as it potentially minimizes the time taken for a person to fall asleep therefore increasing the chances of maintaining awareness to induce a lucid dream.

That's called false awaking. This illusion of having awakened is very convincing to the person. Often after the false awaking you will dream that you are performing your morning ritual, believing that you are really aweken. A dream in which a false awakening takes place is sometimes colloquially referred to as a "double dream".

I think I woke up in a dream once. (Odd)

I thought I was actually awake. I wasn't.
