anybody else think that was a stupid move on Sonys part? i think it was, i was going to get one till they said it isnt backwards compatible anymore....Sony..you suck
LoL. One of the main things going for it? Everyone I know with a PS3 plays PS3 games, not PS2 games. My Wii is backwards compatible and I haven't touched a gamecube game in months.
stop whinnig about ps3 not having backwards compatible,mine is and i don't even play ps2/1 games and i bet most ppl don't!if u want to play ps2/! games then don't buy a ps3!it's as simple as that
my uncle has a PS3 and he has 2 PS3 games, one of them he doesnt even play cause he doesnt like MGS so that game is actually mine, he uses his to watch movies and play PS1 and PS2 games....thats it no ps3 games, in fact as of the last 6 months he hasnt even touched the thing

you obviously havent had a play station since as far back as the ps1 or the ps2. for example i have a 360 which doesnt play most original xbox games, what if i wanted to play an old classic just for the sake of revisiting something that i used to enjoy so much. if that game didnt work id have no way to revisit that old classic and play it again unless i still had my old system ( which i dont). im assuming that thats what its , maybe even worse ( not being able to play any older ps2 games).
i would buy the ps3 but i can't play GTA San Andreas from the ps2 and i ain't buying another ps2 plus i hate GTA4
Not to mention, where theres no port or compatibility to let you play GTA San Andreas on PS3, you can download GTA SA from the XBox Live Marketplace. Now, that might sound fanboyish, but it's worth mentioning.
the 360 does play original games....they just glitch and freeze....which is wierd because u can buy some original games on the marketplace...and it even tells u they may glitch. the sound glitch is the worst
