I have a story idea. Tell me what you think.

The future is not what it may seam to be. The United States government was overthrown by a dictatorial empire that controls the populace with an iron fist. It enforces strict and harsh laws, but also allows a resurgence of crime and vices across the nation. People live in fear of the anarchy world that surrounds them now.
A social hierarchy similar to that of the Middle Ages has resumed. At the bottom are slaves, with computer chips implanted in their minds. Known simply as "drones," the chips forces upon them an uncanny willingness to follow orders at any moment for any reason no matter what it is, while replacing emotions and normal human behavior with a mindless zombie like personality.
Unknown to citizens, they are not born, they are grown. Machines harvest them from the fields, a gloomy place where human DNA is used to grow society's population. At birth, a flash clone of the person is made and kept in cryogenic suspension, awakened only if the original is in need of replacement organs. The clones serve as unwilling donors, and that is there only purpose. Humans who are mutated and distorted at birth are disposed of immediately.

How is the plot line so far?

Sounds pretty good. Kind of like Matrix meets District 9 meets...I don't know what.
It seems more like the kind of thing that would fit in a movie instead of a book though. But I'd read that book!
B-but...what's the rest of the plot?

Loltechnobabble :3

This made me smile, because I think around every writer has thought of something similar. This one does stand out though, even though I still know nothing of the plot and this social hierarchy besides the very bottom of the bottom.

it's excellent. but why can't the changes result from a natural progression of government control alongside the natural progression of technology, making the chips seem necessary - like guarding the children from kidnappers - then the chips are used to control citizens so they don't break laws, keeping us all safer - then they are used to totally control their minds making drones. the theme is a warning: control of society at the loss of individual human rights, or technology replacing god, that sort of thing. so i don't think there has to be a mysterious force that takes over, just a progression.

I agree with moat and thoad, nothing really original.

But, I like that stuff to much to really care

So if you just have the whole story in your mind, then write it down! If you like how it reads then type it on here.

Well I had to get off right when I stopped. I will definitely take your guy's suggestions into account and try to make the story more of my own. I'm not very good at drawing the fine line between things that are similar because they are inspiring and copied things. They may not make sense, but oh well. Here is the rest of the plot. Also, the reason for the chips is to establish a slave group that is under the control of the dictatorship empire that has assumed control over the nation. There is no real logical reason for it, just your typical "take control over the weak" mentality. Anyways...

Above the slaves are the working class, those who are forced to make a living by undertaking dangerous jobs and duties in factories and ware houses. Their work there besides over industrializing the atmosphere includes creating war machines, dangerous chemicals, weapons, industrial equipment, and vehicles as well. Most citizens make up this tier of the social hierarchy.
Above them are soldiers and guards employed to handle riots and quell rebellion wherever it may be. The dictatorship uses computer chips to control certain elite groups of special-ops teams and soldiers alike.
At the top most tier is the dictatorship, the ruling government. Only the most corrupt, greedy, and power hungry politicians are invited or even considered to work amongst the dictatorship, where savage laws are put in place and corruption thrives.

(To be continued later...)

This is alot like a book I read. House of the Scorpion. A clone boy is made, and his 'father' uses him for his organs to keep him alive longer. But its like this idea meets the matrix.

Hm I have never read or heard of this book but it sounds good. I think this story copies to many things on accident. Forget I wrote it.
