Pink Floyd has more good songs than Deep Purple does. I'll go with Pink Floyd.

Pink Floyd stands as one of my favorite bands of all time, trailing only AC/DC, Metallica, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their songs are musical masterpieces, each taken time to write. They also have one of the best albums of all time: Dark Side of the Moon.

although pink floyd is really good im going with deep purple mainly because Ian got me into drumming (origanal smoke on the water!)

Pink Floyd, they are my favourite band of all time. Deep Purple is also quite cool, too Machine Head is an amazing album.

i can't hardly believe that anyone would even put these two up against each other. Pink Floyd every time. I don't fault anyone who wants to pick Deep Purple, but there is no real comparrison here.

An awesome band! David Gilmore is an extremely talented guitarist. I own one of his signature Fender Strats! I love his riffs and solos. Although I do like some of Deep Purple's songs like Smoke On The Water.
