my plan was to use catapults to fire at them and lure them out till they fell into the pits then we have the torch bearers light the leaves and grass on fire and the enemy will have to run through it then after that we have the melee soldiers hold the line and the long ranged units pick off the enemy

We shoot at the fortress with our cannon and trebuchets and dissarm as many ballistas as possible. That way, piercing bolts will start falling in our army, and after that, we could persuade Montreal's trade rout allies, Dellagos ants, to give us some gatling guns. we can mount them on the Lol ants' Hummingbirds and rain bullets in their archer tower.
