I think The Beatles are the most overrated band on the planet, Yes they are a good band but they just aren't as good as most people seem to think. anyone agree?

Yeah they themselves did not define music for the next fifty years, It was many great musicians. Like Buddy Holly, Hound Dog Taylor, Bo Diddly, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Who...you get the idea. There is too many to list, The Beatles did help change music but not on their own.

Still over rated.

good movie.

and i'm a beatles person.

They are a tad overrated, considering they only put out like 10 hours of music.

But still great.

Same im a Beatles type a person

But i still think that their not overrated

So what the only put out 10 hours of music but those 10 hours where good enough to be Classics in the hall of fame for the best bands in their time...

They just rocked. OK now that i think about it their only overrated because they came from the UK n bragged about it then they exagerated on how many fans they had. lol

Rock: 1940's.

Not quite. Rock 'N' Roll was a term coined in the 1950's by African-Americans using slang. Rock 'N' Roll was a slang term for...doing it. It's strange but true. The music style in the 50's was similar to that of the 40's, but it was not called "rock" until the late 50's.

Clearly, you can't invent something 20 years after its origins.

Ten, but you were close.

They came out with 14 great albums in the space of about 7 years. Even by today's standards, that's quite an acievement.
