Is it going to happen? Well here is what I have so far:
On September 16 2006 CVG magazine claimed that Free Radical Design was now developing the game. But Free Radical, and Lucas Arts claimed that it was a "secret project" And Kotaku, later received information from a former Lucas Arts employee, that the game was now in the creation process And then later, leaked artwork gave us a hint that a sith version of Obi Wan Kenobi, may be in the game (ugh BLAST IT) Then on January 15 2009, gameplay footage was leaked from a showing at the Free Radical studio. (click the link to see the footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j81I_-uaOqg ) The leaked gameplay shows new units, new maps, faster gameplay, and way better graphics then Star Wars battle front 1 and 2. Also the gameplay footage shows that you can travel from ground, to air, to space! Although, Free Radical Design has now stopped making Battlefront 3, and the project has been passed on to Pandemic. Now, because of the lack of technology, you cannot travel from air to space. It will be now just be showing a cutscene. And now we don't know much of what it's going to be like. But we do know that the game is going to be far worse, because Free Radical quite. And the project, might even be dead.
to be honest i think they milked battlefront to much , it was really only good for one game, the gameplays gona be no different so its just gona be the same game with new maps and guns , the units will probably function the same just look different.
