Okay, so Legion is this new movie that's coming out in early 2010. I'm sure a lot of you have heard of it. The commercials I saw for it convinced me that I shouldn't watch it, because the plot is very religious, despite the fact that it's an action film.

The basic plot of this movie is that God is mad at the world and is sending angels down to earth to kill everyone, and it's up to a few guys in the military to dispose of them. The effects, according to the previews, aren't bad, but as an Atheist, I don't feel as if I would be able to enjoy it.

What do you think about this movie and do you think I should see it?

I saw that trailer, and I got pretty freaked out by the beginning of it. It actually looks really good though.

I have some problems following plots of religious movies. The commercial made it look like it has some good action, but when I saw the angels, I just laughed.

Also, how do you kill an angel with a gun? Whoever can answer this will get a big unicorn hug.

Uh, you use golden adamant bullets or whatever kind that Weapon XI used to try and kill Wolverine in the movie?

But angels aren't alive anyway, so how can they be killed?

This movie leaves a lot unexplained...

Well, it's not even out yet! Don't assume things until you actually see it.

@ernie: it is a movie. things do not have to be explained into every detail.
noone explains how the angels come to earth.
noone explains why you can kill them with a shotgun. you simply can.

Christian groups will probably boycott this movie at some point. I can predict it happening. Killing angels with shotguns is probably something the most religious Christians frown upon...

well than let them boycott it. why would you care.
it is a action movie in which someone uses some religous sounding excuse to built some suspense.
it is neither religous nor is it logical

I wouldn't much care one way or the other, but for those who actually want to see it will...

why would they. the movie comes out in 2010. how do people who boycott it by not going to watch it are affected by it in a negative way.
if you want to see it you can. without any problem.

and no there will not be any christian mobs that try to burn every person who saw the movie

Says the guy with 666 posts. xD

And no, they will not burn everyone who saw it. What they'll do is block the entrances to theaters so people won't be able to watch it. This has happened before in the past, so I'm not just coming up with random stories (this time).

I believe it also involves an Archangel, who protects a pregnant woman whose son is supposedly the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Ah! Thank you for proving my point that this movie is, in fact, religion-based! I mean, the angels are religious enough for me, but the Jesus is just pushing it I think.

I honestly don't care for the religious aspect, but I will probably go see it just for a good thrill.

Looks like a good flick regardless of the religious aspects, some people just need to chill out and learn not to take things so seriously. I watched the trailer and I think I'll go just to see to hear that old lady say

I said your f***ing babies going to burn!

Classic!
