Im getting a phone soon, and my mom says if i pay for the phone itself, she'll pay for the plan. What's a relativly cheap phone i can get, that can record, and flip open on one side to text or double flip?

You want to fit in, don't you? Use your home phone, like me. If you absouloutely want to fit in though, get the Alias, it is the cheapest from what I am hearing.

Same with me man. Try boost mobile with the Motorola clutch.

better idea, just get one with the text keyboard or something dont go so big at first, i would just focus getting a phone so i could text, nothing to "groovy"

Get the enV3 from Verizon. It's a basic phone with a keyboard. I have it and it's perfect. It's $80 I think.

I like how you guys assume he's getting it just to fit in -_- A lot of people have a cell phone to be able to contact family. Heck, that's why I want one. It would be useful to be able to call someone if I needed a ride home, change of plans, in case of an emergency, etc. I think it's stupid that some parents don't let their kids have a phone; they could get a plan that doesn't let the kid spend too much money and have the extra safety at the same time.

Also, the plan for the clutch, it's a nice phone and unlimited texting, calling and pics.

Ok, so it's partly to fit in, but i really think i could use it. My moms work is really far away, and im home alone a large portion of the day after school. also, like every other weekend me and my friends go camping n stuff. Last of all, if ur trying to get a girlfriend in my school, and she has a phone, and u dont, it's not happening...

You mean the goPhone from AT&T?

By the way, don't get a Smartphone or Blackberry. Sure they have really cool features, but you don't need it if you don't work for a business.

Free phones are great. My free phone has a slide out full qwerty keyboard, music player, video and 2.0 MP camera... and lots of other stuff. You don't have to pay to get something good anymore!

Well... I'm on Telus... Canadian company... it's a Samsung Slyde (M540), also called the RANT in the U.S., Sprint carries it.

I'd imagine American companies have the same type of deals though...

Guys why are you bashing pursuit for asking about a phone with a flip keyboard? Can someone not want one just because they're cool? Anyway what do you mean by cheap if you gave a price range it would help
