Most, if not all the information found in libraries, can be found online.
I don't agree with them closing it, since most state spending is quite irresponsible in my opinion, and libraries are one of the more important aspects of society; but it shouldn't have a horrible impact.
Green, a library is more than just an education center for the awesome enlightened peoples. It is a community center. Where people enjoy socializing with eachother.
Many teenagers do not want to go through the trouble of buying a book. They can easily read it. How many people would be interested in reading if it wern't for libraries?
And it is a part of history. America's first library was founded there by BENJAMIN FRANKLIN! If you don't like the library, then you don't like America! And you like America, don't you Green?
America, truth be told, was based on the Library. Though now our education sucks, in its prime we were some of the leading manufacturers, innovative inventors, and scientists on the planet.
Maybe not a horrible impact, and its not like School Libraries are shutting down. _I think it has an impact on those who rely on the Library as part of their day/week, I go there once a week myself and I'd hate for TX to shut them down.
To put that into government standard, if this is a debate about politics and governments -- Then 1) Always blame the crazy liberals 2) Know that states will always spend money incorrectly, Lack of Funds = We don't want to waste our non-hard-earned cash on your Bull.
