Let's face it: even if this poll lasts forever, Space Invaders will always triumph over Tetris. And it will go up at a higher rate than Tetris, so Tetris will probably never get ahead again.
I think there's some skill involved in Tetris though.
Oh certainly, I never said it was completely dependent on luck. But it depends an awful lot what shapes you get. If you get tons of squares and straight lines in a row, you'll get a much higher score than if you get the same amount of the more abstract shapes such as the L-shaped one or that lightning bolt shaped one.
