Do you mean when it ultimately started in Japan, or when it was introduced to the rest of the world? Either way, I don't know!

I think it came out in the late 80's/early 90's. That sounds about right. But I may be wrong...

I cant help but Love pokemon.

Pokemon used to be awesome. With like 150 pokemon.Had all the games, watched it on T.V.

Now they just seem to be making up the most stupid crap I've ever seen. There must be over 700 pokemon now. Tis insane. The pokemon looks bland and they look like copies of old ones. Honestly it should stop now.

pokemon is one of the biggest franchises ever.

I used to like it when it first started, 151 pokemon (Mew included), and now there's a buttload of em. @_@

I loved the first 300 of them, but the newer generation sucks... There are 493 Pokemon right now, and they are still making more...

pokemon is like the best show ever also i actually made the pokemon snover and abomasnow :P
