I have not read Twilight, I have no intentions of reading Twilight either, so I am not going to judge it. Read Harry Potter. Good books, but would rather read other stuff. Also, the ending was crap, so it really cuts down in my opinion.
Twilight hands down. The quality of the storytelling is fantastic, and all those loopholes and errors within the story that make it make no sense and have no artistic, literary, or factual credibility make it even better a book. It's like the Jackass of books, a new genre of crap all by itself.
I liked Twilight, the books were fantastic, and I am a guy. I loved the Twilight books, they were a good source of non-normal vampire books, and had a nice touch of werewolves in it. (though they weren't really werewolves... >_> The movie, is an utter PoS that doesn't deserve to even be called twilight, and it only SUBTLY! hints at the book, and around 3/4ths of the book was edited and made into that PoS movie, I mean 1: Edward talking to Bell on the first day, completely WRONG! He avoids her for the entire first half of the book, and only starts hanging out with her, once she finds out he's a vamp. There are a lot more errors, and bull **** in that movie, then there were in the book.
All in all
Harry Potter > Twilight (Movies) Twilight > Harry Potter (Books)
