A 2008 Day of the Dead remake?

I'm seriously concerned, here, because I'm a huge zombie movie buff. Seen every zombie movie made since 1999, and all the old ones I could get ahold of. Even those sh*tty Resident Evil live-actions. But anyways, I Googled Day of the Dead, hoping to find an official site or maybe remake plans. But then I find out it was remade, close to a year ago. Nobody told me! I went and checked out Wal-Mart, Extra Foods, all those supermarkets in my area, looked everywhere from the new-release counter to the five-dollar bin, and not a sign of it. (Although I did get a snazzy 1978 Dawn of the Dead DVD re-release, so my taped VHS can go to rest now.) I'm guessing it's still in the UK, and hasn't reached American shores yet. But I'm not sure. Anyone got release dates, info, or (god forbid...) a copy that was bought in an American store? Any idea where I could get a copy, and if you saw it, what did you think? No spoilers though, please.

@Fst6: It sorta is. I've watched all the triple A titles, but it's pretty well impossible to watch every single indy film or youtube video that ever featured a zombie in it.

@Hood: Well, that's a pretty specific rating. But it makes sense, as in you gave it an A, but not 9 outta 10.

@cool: They sure are. They sure are.

There's no way you can see EVERY movie about zombies since 1999. That's impossible. I mean, there's the movies that hit theatres, then there's the independent films, then there's the cheesy films that 12 year olds filmed for show and tell . . .

The Leon one was actually the best, 'cause it was CGI. Extinction was amzingly bad. For those of you that haven't seen it, the main character develops telekenitic super-powers, zombies learn how to use cell phones, and a random group of the dumbest people alive somehow survive past the point of the apocalypse where buildings a decayed and the earth looks like a desert, even though they were there when it all started. So, AKA, they lived roughly 75,000,000 years and didn't age a bit.
