It's not a WoW convention, it's BlizzCon. Blizzard being one of the utmost secretive gaming companies there are(they usually only announce things at their own conventions and not E3 or any gaming venue) they announce everything of theirs, such as Diablo, Starcraft, and WoW, at BlizzCon.

Yeah, Blizz-con, but it's not just for wow, but Starcraft, and Diablo. I went to it one year, didn't much care for the three hour bathroom lines, or getting my junk smashed by little 13year old Alliance brats.
And Cataclysm, HOPEFULLY, won't suck as much as WoTLK did, IMO I think BC was the greatest one so far, and they kinda ruined WoW with WoTLK. So, I think, since this one is introducing Characters instead of classes, it will rock. Though I am still skeptical about the whole Worgen thing... they were persecute by the Alliance, but they still align them selves with them? That is just stupid. And Goblins with the horde? Do we really need a Gnome equivalent on our side?
Considering I was in the top guild on one of the biggest servers, and I was their main tank, I'd say I was pretty much twice as awesome at WoW than the average joe. I was totting full tier 2(Wrath) and had a few pieces of Tier 3(Dreadnaught). Then BC came out and even though I had worked harder than these newbs at being this fucking good, within 4 levels I was wearing green armor better than dreadnaught, and any newb was just as good as me. Was stupid, the expansion gratified the idiots and make anything who was awesome just as shitty as anyone else, as if we didn't deserve it. I worked hard for my shit and I want it to stay that way, but BC was stupid, and it didn't give me any advantage at all, because by 64 everyone was wearing the same shit again.

Levelling the playing field is stupid when they are getting payed by the people they are shafting. I know at least 100 people in my guild alone that quit along with me in protest of dumbass blizzard, let alone how many overall did. They lost a lot of memberships, and that's a loooot of money with those subscriptions.
