Science and religion are near opposites. Why you ask? Because of the way they work. In science, Evidence is found, and is followed by a theory. In Religion, An idea was stated, followed by the creation of evidence to prove the theory. So in a way, religion is only true because it was made true.
On another note, I would like to challenge the bible in a few ways. Firstly, When Noah created his ark and the world flooded, he saved 2 of each animals. However, genes show that reproduction from 2 animals cannot create for more than several generations, due to the fact that it would cause genetic mishaps. This would apply to Adam and Eve as well. And what about plants? Animals need to eat something. Some may say that Instead of the world being flooded, only HIS world was flooded, meaning as far as he could see. But if that is the case, how did he get 2 of ALL the animals?
The reason of that is that many parents don't want to have homosexual kids, if a test says that the kid will become homosexual many parents would chose to abort the baby.
Usually but not always the people who are against abortion are against homosexuals. So I somehow doubt they would abort a baby because it may become Gay. Yes it is a may. Just because you are likely to be gay doesn't mean it's certain.
if a test says that the kid will become homosexual many parents would chose to abort the baby.
What sort of sick person would kill a baby because it is gay?! I'm for abortions because mainly it is unfair to a teenage mother to have a child. But to not have a child because it is a sin is ridiculous!
Ok. Take this example. This guy has totaly overidealized science by saying that it doesn't involve any faith whatsoever. But, like that's just wrong. Science is all about faith, it's just all make believe and spin when you think about it.
We are not talking about junk science here, we are talking about research, analysis, and scientific theory. Some science facts change because we get more advanced technology, not because the analysis were done incorrectly.
Look at that guy in a wheelchair, supposebly the greatest physicist in the world. Well, he was wrong. Does anyone remember? All his stuff on the black holes was wrong. So he should be the worst and a laughingstock. So why do they think he was the best. Because they were told he was the best and they still believe it. That's one exampel of faith in scientists.
His name is Stephen Hawking, and his belief PRIOR to 2004 (in a nutshell) was that matter that is consumed by a black hole travels through the black hole to a new parallel universe. However, he still kept on studying black holes because he knows he does not have absolute knowledge. In 2004, he recanted his previous thought on black holes and now believes that matter is held in the black hole for eons and, as the black hole disintegrates it throws the mangled matter back into the universe from where it came from.
FAITH, make-believe, fantasy. That makes a lot of science that you all think is concrete. It isn't. It takes money to research and whatever you read in the papers is all about whether the researcher can pay his bills or not. Hawking must have had a lot of bills to pay for his wheelchair expenses!!
Scientist would not (and most do not) receive funding unless they have evidence that the analysis or analysis of theory they wish to embark on is plausible. In addition, most funding is through colleges and the government. In both the U.S. and the U.K, this funding has been dramatically cut. Most scientist do what they do because of a passion to seek the truth, not for money. Very few scientist make large sums of money for what they contribute to the world. Stephen Hawking has made most of his money through writing and selling books and is also the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge. The fact that you would belittle his mind because he has expenses to pay (like all adults do), is beyond comprehension; especially the way you stated it above.
And anyway, don't call people names just open your own minds and besides I'd rather be a lamb for Jesus than a pig for Satan!!!
Hmmm ... contradictory, aren't you?
I know you can pull more verses condemning homosexual behavior from the Bible. I have to ask though do you condone slavery? The Bible sure does and does it far more then it condemns homosexual behavior.
Exactly ...the bible also condones treating all women as slaves ... is that the bible you believe in yielee?
