I wanted to bring this up because i saw a video that made me want to punch my computer screen. THIS video shows just how much politics/news people exaggerate things. They tell the public that "Mass Effect has full digital nudity" now as a parent you hear that and go WHAT a video game showing male/female genitalia that is horrid. And as a mature 16 year old who played this game i say bah humbug. Because all you see is a rear end and (as peter griffin would say) a side bo*b. Also they say that the game basically shows you it whether you want it or not, which as all people who played knows is complete crap. You have to go through hours of conversations to get the achievement and love scene. Also it really pi**es me off that they throw "Se"xbox on the bottom. I want to punch whoever told fox this would be a good idea, even though it didn't really get that much attention, it shows how much they exaggerate this s***.
Seriously, man, the media is nothing but a bunch of hypocrites. They play on the video game thing because it's a hot-button issue now. Unfortunately, one of the drawbacks of video games becoming more popular is that more people, even non-gamers, are paying attention to them now.
I still like pointing out that regular shows on television are far more graphic than your average game. A little side boob is nothing compared to the soft core porn they try to pass off as day time television these days.
even though it didn't really get that much attention
Actually this story managed to get more attention from youtubers then the average episode of the O'Reilly factor, which is saying something, but if you mean by parents who would take it seriously then I would say not as much. Though I still blame stories like this for the ridiculous mandates implemented by ESRB and Microsoft.

Yeah I kind of have to agree. On television they have shows where people eats bugs, and are told to stick there hands in tanks full of electric eels. Then there are shows like nip/tuck which not only promotes plastic surgery, but also has more nudity then most games would. Then there is South Park which tends to have more kids watch it then adults I would assume, and it....well just watch an episode of it and its easy to figure out whats wrong with it. My point is that the media put more emphasis on video games on the little things then on whats wrong with shows on TV that are 10x worse, or heck even music where your allowed to tell your listeners to beat their wives, suck certain parts of their body, and that they like to touch little boys.....must I say anymore on that? Even though these things exist though you never really too much of a difference in how people act...except that some of the ones going through puberty are a bit dumber possibly. I think overall though Fox news has the highest ratings right now, but is that really any surprise when they try too hard to get them?
Another thing I've always found pretty ridiculous about the news and media is that, well, video games aren't being thrown in our faces. No one has to play a video game. In fact, games are quite an expensive hobby to have. Whereas on television, even if you don't watch graphic shows yourself, you still can't avoid them entirely because of commercials. I'm actually really glad you brought up nip/tuck because that is the exact show I was referring to when I mentioned graphic shows. I swear, there was a commercial for that show that literally displayed a full-on sex scene. The only thing you couldn't see were genetalia and nipples.
So, people are way too critical of video games. Of course, they were the exact way about rock and rap music when it was first gaining popularity, so I'm not really surprised. I just hope people find a new fad to obsess over once video games have made the full transition into common lifestyles.
Oxymoron. Especially after you say things like bah humbug seriously and reference Peter Griffin.
But I don't know why this is around. That was a long time ago, and don't know if the video you linked is the one, but they brought someone in who represented the game and he asked "have any of you seen this scene?", they all said no, and he said "you are dumb morons, there is nothing in the scene" and they all cried cause they got caught on live television.
I have played copletely through on mass effect, awesome game,i also completed the romance with Liarra. The worst I saw was a butt, and theyre fraking allowed to have that in spongebob. I really dont really see the bfd, the game shouldve probably been rated T, the only other sexual theme(well... besides that 1 side mission)was the strip club, and they weren't even naked, actually the suits barely showed any skin, there was a litte gambling, but they have a casino in pokemon. Plus there was pretty much no blood whatsoever, so you know. In my opinion, a 10 year old could probably play it. Plus they probably wouldn't discover the romance mission in the first place.

Shut up, i know people who are mature and have a dumb sense of humor and why can't i say bah humbug, i was messing around. Just because some kid harassed you and he was a complete idiot/immature you think im not. Ok whatever
