in the 80s I could probably think of 2 or 3, but nowadays they all suck.

I can't think of any I like except:

1. Grace Slick -- Jefferson Aeroplane are a great band with some cool songs.

2. Kate Nash -- But only because of here cover of Fluorescent Adolescent.

3,4 and 5 are empty at the moment I can't think of anyone to fill them.

1. Janis Joplin - amazing soulful blues rock n' roll voice throughout her career.

2. Grace Slick - beautiful woman with a beautiful voice.

3. Mary Sterpka - sang the middle verse on The James Gang's "Midnight Man", and it just blew me away.

4. Stevie Nicks - Why not, right?!

5. Mama Cass - Large woman with a larger-than-life voice.

1) Joplin. Nuff said.

2) Aretha Franklin. also nuff said.

3) Stevie Nicks. Unique voice, interesting band.

4) Sara Bareilles. Love Song kinda sucked, but if you think she has a bad voice then give Come 'Round Soon a listen.

5) Grace Slick - I really like he stuff with Jefferson Aeroplane.

1. Ann Wilson from Heart. The one that I'm most familiar with and I simply enjoy their songs.

2. Allison Krause. She simply just has a beautiful voice, she does bluegrass. She also did a little project with Robert Plant

3. Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Don't know much of their stuff, but she has a voice that is simply addicting to listen to.

4. Annie Lennox. Basically because I love her song Into the West, don't know to much of her work though.

5. Geddy Lee from Rush. Lol, no I didn't run out of ladies but his voice can be mistaken for one...

My favorite female singer is Amy Lee of Evanescence. Due to my chosen genre, though, I don't hear many female singers. Evanescence is one of my favorite bands, though, so don't think I'm sexist or anything.

Moat: For future reference, all caps titles tend to piss people off. Especially Mind-Moat.He hates all-caps titles.
Mind-Moat: RAAWWRRR! *chases assassin with a flexi ruler*
Moat: NO, Mind-Moat! He's new, it's alright! Back off! *restrains Mind-Moat* Sorry bout that, assassin. But in future, all caps titles, not recommended. Unless you want to die through slow death by flexi ruler, of course. Anyways, here are my votes...

1.Amy Lee-Evanescence. Not only do I actually like the Evanescence style of music, she has such a clear, beautiful voice, and can do both metal screams and the regular soft singing.
2. Chloe Agnew-Celtic Woman. I normally wouldn't listen to that kind of music, but I was looking for Christmas songs and stumbled upon one of her group's performances, I've listened every now and then since that time. Her voice is just so beautiful!
3. Aretha Franklin. Again, normally I don't listen to that type of music, not really my thing, but she really does have a beautiful voice. And she sang at the presidential inauguration. That's gotta count for something.
4. Cristina Scabbia-Lacuna Coil. Lacuna Coil is ok as a band, and the vocalist really adds a lot. I wonder how the hell she gets her voice so high-pitched though. I certainly can't sing like that. And I wouldn't want to, either.
5. Joan Jett- Joan Jett And The Blackhearts. The style of music is ok, got a nice beat, and her voice is pretty good, keeps up with the music. Definitely not my favorite, but OK.

Chloe Agnew-Celtic Woman.

No need to be ashamed of liking great voices Moat. I also love Celtic Women. I can't think of the names, but I know my least favorite was the younger blonde haired one.

Haha! Yes! You understand what I mean to a tee, man. With all the Disturbed, Bullet for My Valentine, and Slipknot around, Amy's voice is like a diamond in the rough. It's a change of pace without changing your genre.
