@cmptrgeek - I got it in one shot - the base of the first castle lifted up and knocked over the second!



For interest, go back a couple of threads (372) and play Electrick Molotov but do this - Use fire just below the prince's feet. Once it is going, go back and hit the top mid tower with eels. The electricity does not stop until the fire goes out! ha ha funny!

On 2 stage Rocket 2.0, wrap the kings tower in wood and take their perch and change the stone to iron. The one shot may still be available but if not, you got the electricity to kill them!

Test Launch

Learning from his now deceased uncle, the prince decides that he will do one better - a double launch!! (of course using the lowly peasant for the test). The King and Queen view the experiment from Mission Control, safely tucked away from any fire or lightning strikes. Or are they?

As well, if the launch did not go well, the prince did have some stand-byes to fill in...

@CourtJester awesome design I almost got it in three but threw the electric eels a little high the first time. For some stupid reason I never even thought about sinking the ground level in a castle design to give everything a little more room to happen on screen. Very good conituation of the rocket launch theme. It always makes it more fun when there is a story involved.

Some explanation about the code if you want to get your terrain and stuff in order.

{"l":["tg","mg","bg","wc","id"] is terrain, foreground, background, weather, time of day. You shouldn't touch this in an editor nor the following code.

"r":["rw","rwc","rs","rsc","ri","ric","rb","rbc","rfb","rpb","rrb","rf","rl","rr","ra","rp"] are the weapons that are allowed.

The stuff after "c"[ is your castle components where the and is composed of "element, x axis, y axis, thickness, length,angle".

Re: Thickness = # x 20 so a ,1, = 20 pixels
and: Length = # x 100 so a ,1, = 100 pixels in length (or height)

"t":[0,0,0,0,.....] is the terrain coordinates and it ranges from -20 to 230 pixels. When you make a terrain in the editor, it sometimes comes out as unworkable if you want to fit stuff in as your element height limitations are to 1 decimal point (as is all the other units) which when multiplied by 100 gives you an integer!

If you use the -20 coordinate for the terrain, you can't really place any characters on the line that shows the bottom. You can place them there but when you settle, they go back up to 0 and then settle.

The screen (x-axis) is from 0 to 1050 pixels. Placing anything after 1050 may cause the element or character to fall off the screen. Sometimes, if you settle and they fall off the screen, they end up at a -x axis and up maybe -2000!!!!

The screen editor has all kinds of tools to place your elements and characters using the transform tool however, there are limitations on element sizes so, if you need something a bit different, you will need to go outside the program. However, when you exceed the screen editor sizes, if you want to modify it, you have to go back to your code editor...

This example is of a ridiculously large member. Smack it with an iron ball a few times and watch it fall right off the screen!

The Princess Pyramid

The Persian King decides to show off his many daughters to the adoring fans and puts them on his fancy dancy pyramid of gold. Well, he didn't have enough money to complete the task with gold so he had to use bamboo and those pretty red barrels for some of it! However, a Taliban was outraged that their faces were not covered and did something about these infidels!

I dunno - the physics of CTC2 are all wrong but, you can create some interesting structures for sure. I'm sure Joey has a flaw in his programming that we can exploit and one guy a few threads back did just that by flipping the princess to the trebuchet!

Now, if I had these building elements in CTCPP, that would be fun!!!! Eliminate the colour crap and fancy schmancy scenery - and the weather which totally lags the game!!!!

@Charlesme - if you are around anymore, I looked at a bunch of old castles on a temporary thread when AG screwed up the original thread for the original CTC. Those were awesome. We gotta do something about some of those great threads and maps and possibly post them in code (so AG doesn't freakin' lose all of them again) and maybe have a hall of blame on Trismegistus's off-site thread. Some of you guy's stuff is already there. Let's post it all in code and not links!
