So many posts! So a summary response: - Ernie15: Close Call is fantastic, I like when a character almost touches death - EngineNumber9: Congrats for Cheap Condo! Really enjoyed it. Your other one (cardhouse it's named?) probably self-destructs, but who cares? It's nice as long as it's not laggy! - CourtJester: Thx4 the mail. I will read it
Your Royal Highness Ernie15, I took the liberty without your permission to add your close call to one of my "work in progress" games. I am sure that I will be sent to the gallows for plagarising your work but it was a masterpiece that needs to be highlighted Shared Flip
Charlesme: Your "Repost" loaded to the smokin man. I would like to see the double! BTW, your pyramid looked like one I found on the shares but, it grew out of the ground and then a King arrives seconds later to land on the top!
Sire Ernie15 - once again, thanks for the masterpiece launch, I could just about land him anywhere! I guess that is why you are king, and I am not!
By the way there IS a big hole on the other side of the trebuchet. I was doing this one (one shot) and the metal fell to the left and teetered on the hole then fell in. Fell into the abyss!!
I am relatively new to designing Castles is there a list of the sizes of the objects like how long and tall they are? Or do I just have to figure it out through trial and error? I am looking to manually create the castles in a text editor so knowing the sizes would help.
Here is another Castle I created the object is to knock the beams of the rear of the balance beam so the small beams fall on the king killing him. You should be able to do this with one large boulder, or two medium size boulders, or a well placed shot with the group of three small stones.
Hey, gang; newbie here, ready to show off some of my sweet creations.
This first one is entitled "Pit of Despair" (an homage to The Princess Bride), and is my attempt to create a cute medieval-sty;e slice-of-life scenario...namely, the execution of an innocent princess by sending her off a ledge and into a pit of spikes below. Notice how the King wishes to have a front row seat for the occasion, the queen watches evilly from her tower, and three more princesses are kept locked in the dungeon below. Fun!
What follows is my method of testing; finding the weakest spot for each of the five weapons and aiming for (no pun intended) a one-hit kill. (I don't bother testing with single loads most of the time; triple the fun, baby!) I of course won't be telling you where to aim; you'll have to figure it out for yourself.
Small: There's no point in really testing with this, but I often have a lot of unique fun by trying to fulfill the royal execution rather than ruin it; with a bit of aim, I can knock the princess off her precepice and sometimes hit the spikes. Most of the time, though, the iron bean gets in the way and either blocks her or knocks them over. Ah, well, she's dead anyway. A three-stone load collapses the first tower (much to my surprise) and even manages to kill off the king and queen in the process. Unsurprisingly, it fails to completely eradicate the area.
Medium: Everyone in the iron tower is killed, but the stone tower still stands unbroken.
Large: Same result as previous, curiously.
Small bomb: The ensuing collapse results in the deaths of all...except for one princess on the ground. And the rubble around e=her is so dense I can't pursue any further.
Large bomb: Total, utter devastation. After a properly-aimed load, the princess at the top of the tower takes several seconds to return to Earth, so don't be surprised if you miss a count. Listen for her delayed 'Oomph!'
