It's mostly for metal bands and stuff. Like so the bass drum can go rly fast/do the same rhythm as the guitar as bass. Look up All that remains or The devil wears prada ernie
Well, honstly alot of bands that use doublebass just get annoying, and i over powers the rest of everything happening.
All that remains does it very well though.
Christian bands......nah. They always trick me into listening to them.
"I woke up, and went to my kitchen. It must have been a blessinging, that I was still alive and kicking, I got some oatmeal, and heated it up, And to finish my meal, I TOPPED IT OFF WITH JESUS!"
Some Christian bands are great, music wise. Not many can pull off great lyrics without seeming rather... annoying... But I've heard of a couple. And some great bands start out in Christian Rock, and then stop mentioning God in songs. And my favourite radio station used to be Christian Rock.
Back on topic...
Double bass drums, double the awesomeness. That sound... It's just moving...
I would like Christian music more if the lyrics didn't always sound like a love song to God. It's tolerable though, when someone's playing it on the radio.
Anyway, about the double kicks (is that the actual name? lol just curious), the only song I know uses them is Chop Suey. It would be pretty hard to play the set for that song with only one pedal.
