I was reading Derren Browns blog (as you do :P) and he was talking about how the film Creation has found no disributors in the United States because Darwins theory is "too controversial for an American audience".
Movieguide.org is an site which reviews films from a Christian perspective and described Darwin as the father of eugenics and denounced him as "a racist, a bigot and an 1800s naturalist whose legacy is mass murder". His "half-baked theory" directly influenced Adolf Hitler and led to "atrocities, crimes against humanity, cloning and genetic engineering".
However good ol' wikipedia says that Newmarket films has decided to release it in the US in December.
But surely there are enough people in the US that either believe in Evolution or at least understand that a FILM can't hurt you.
So what do you think? This thread isn't about whether evolution is real etc. but more about whether it is right to not release the film.
2) Whoa there, **You might want to read a few pages of his books**, he was specifically a god to the Germans.
Although he was in practice, that's certainly not the message he sent to the German people. He claimed he was a servant of Germany, not a deity.
In addition, he wasn't a Christian. He personally ordered the creation of a pagan religion based on Sun worship as an alternative to the Catholic and Protestant Churches. Not exactly a model Christian in my book.
